Today’s question is, ‘How do I choose the right paint colors for my home’s interior and exterior?’

It’s a great question. 

The colors you choose are just as important as the pros you choose to paint. Painting and design are two connected but very different skills; and for that reason, I would not ask a pro painter to help me with color choices.

If you’re a do-it-yourself painter, get on Better Homes and Gardens or HGTV.com and look up some of the trending colors in your area.

The best option would be to hire a color consultant, because they will be local and understand concepts like trends in your area, what colors work best on your style of home, your neighborhood, and other important factors most do-it-yourself homeowners won’t consider when choosing colors.
